Housing/ New Business

I have recently started a small business creating handmade candles, body butters, and sugar scrubs. Each product is crafted with care and attention to detail, with a focus on quality ingredients and unique scents. My goal is to provide items that not only smell amazing but also promote relaxation and self-care. These products will be listed and available for purchase soon, and I am excited to share them with a wider audience. In addition to standard items, I also offer custom orders for all of my products, allowing customers to choose specific scents, ingredients, or combinations that suit their personal preferences.

Writing has always been a passion of mine. During my time in school, I often imagined becoming a successful author, which inspired me to begin writing short stories. Over time, this creative outlet became something I truly valued, and I continue to develop my writing whenever I can. On my blog, readers have the opportunity to explore these short stories, each reflecting my creativity and perspective. For those interested, the stories are available to read for a small fee, which also helps support my work and continued growth as a writer.

Recently, I have been thinking more seriously about financial stability and long-term goals, particularly the goal of purchasing a home. However, the current housing market makes that dream feel increasingly difficult to achieve. Housing prices have risen significantly, with modest homes—such as a two-bedroom, one-bath property—often costing around $200,000 or more. Rental prices are also high, with one-bedroom apartments averaging over $1,200 per month and two-bedroom units reaching approximately $1,700 or higher. These costs can be overwhelming, especially for younger individuals who are trying to build a stable future.

It often feels as though previous generations had an easier path to homeownership, as housing prices were more affordable in the past, particularly during the early 2010s. In contrast, today’s economic conditions present additional challenges. The rising cost of building materials, influenced in part by tariffs and supply chain issues, continues to drive up housing prices even further. As a result, it can feel like a constant uphill battle, with limited opportunities to get ahead. Despite these challenges, I remain motivated to find creative ways to increase my income, grow my business, and move closer to achieving my goal of homeownership.
